Privacy Policy
Useful Bin is a product-recommendation publisher operated by Media World Vision, a California corporation. We publish short videos about consumer products on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, and we earn affiliate commission when viewers buy through our links. This policy explains what data we handle.
What we collect
We do not operate a website that collects personal information, we have no user accounts, and we do not run a newsletter or a contact form.
The data we see is limited to:
- Aggregate statistics from the platforms we publish on. Instagram, Facebook and YouTube report view counts, likes, comments, shares and basic audience breakdowns for our own posts. These are aggregate figures. We do not receive the identity of individual viewers.
- Affiliate referral reports. When a viewer follows one of our links and makes a purchase, the affiliate program reports the order value and our commission. These reports do not identify the buyer.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us through a platform's messaging or comment feature, we see what you wrote and your public profile name.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information.
- We do not set cookies or trackers of our own.
- We do not build profiles of individual viewers.
- We do not collect payment details. Purchases happen entirely on the retailer's own site.
Affiliate links
Our posts contain affiliate links. When you follow one, the retailer records that the visit came from us so that any resulting commission is attributed correctly. What happens after you arrive is governed by that retailer's privacy policy, not ours. We have no access to your account, cart or payment information.
We disclose affiliate relationships on every post and in each profile bio, as required by the US Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidelines.
Platforms we use
Our content is hosted by Meta Platforms (Instagram, Facebook) and Google (YouTube). Your use of those services is covered by their own privacy policies. We access their APIs only to publish our own content and to read statistics about our own posts.
Retention
We keep post statistics and affiliate commission reports for as long as we operate the accounts, in order to measure which products are worth recommending. Because this data is aggregate, it cannot be traced back to an individual.
Your rights
Because we do not hold personal information about viewers, there is normally nothing for us to retrieve or delete. If you have sent us a message and want it removed, write to us and we will delete it.
Residents of California, the EEA, the UK and other regions with data protection laws may have rights of access, correction and deletion. We will honour any such request that relates to data we actually hold.
Children
Our content is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, and our accounts are not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
